Ceramic Workshop

Have you ever thought of making a pottery of your own by yourself?
Our ceramic workshop tutor will teach you the knowledge of ceramics from the basics, allowing you to work through the steps of kneading, shaping and glazing. The creation process allows you to revisit the details of life and make a pottery that suits you.

Derek Lo
Derek has been engaged in art education for nearly 30 years and studied pottery for 30 years. In his early years, he learned art from a famous Hong Kong potter. His works have been exhibited in various local pottery exhibitions. Recently, he was selected for the 2021 ceramic tea set creation. In addition to personal creations, He has focused on exploring different ceramic decoration techniques, glaze matching and firing in recent years, reflecting on the value of contemporary ceramic art from the basic elements of the processing objects. Since 2019, he has served as a volunteer instructor for the Ceramic Art Workshop of the Disabled Diving Association (Hong Kong).
