4th I·CARE Book Festival

4th I·CARE Book Festival

Reading is Voyaging through Time and Space

In books we embark on a journey to the unfathomed past, we see into Heaven and Earth, we multiply our mobility, we live another existence.

Reading is voyaging through time and space. In the warmth of spring in March, we are all time travellers.

At the 4th I·CARE Book Festival, bibliophiles give away their beloved books, hoping to share them with like-minded friends. A dozen of armchair expeditions will be led by writers and book lovers – on memory and forgetting, on science and literature, on nature and animal, on ways of translating, mindfulness reading, and the space design on reading.

Let’s gather in a feast of great minds. Together we wander through the past and present, and live a thousand lives.

[Book Crossing Pavilion]

Thanks to the support and generosity of the alumni, staff and students, and many of our friends, the 4th I·CARE Book Festival has received over 20,000 second-hand books for placing in the Book Crossing Pavilion for reading and collection by the CUHK community. All students and staff of CUHK are welcome to the Book Crossing Pavilion to travel in time while reading. You may bring your beloved books home and get ready for a great adventure!
